War driving could get you in trouble

War driving, or searching for an unsecured WiFi signal, could get you in trouble. Recently a Michigan man was arrested and charged with a felony for parking outside a coffee shop and using its WiFi signal. It was free to customers, but he did not buy a cup of coffee. In Michigan, a law, introduced in 1979 to protect Internet and private-network users from hackers, and amended in 2000 to include wireless systems, makes piggybacking off of Wi-Fi networks, even those without a password, illegal.

Read the article at FoxNews.com for more details. It would be hard to know if you are in a jurisdiction where war driving is illegal. Perhaps buy that cup of coffee as a protection!

Overnight parking bans- here's a letter

The problem of restricted overnight parking for RVs is increasing in cities throughout our travels. Jim O'Briant, moderator, of OvernightRVParking Yahoo Group, has compiled an excellent letter that you can send to any mayor and city council if the situation should arise.
