Arizona Sights

Feeding a hummingbird after banding, weighing and measuring.Bisbee, Arizona: We visited the San Pedro House between Bisbee and Sierra Vista on Highway 90 at the San Pedro River to watch hummingbirds be banded. This takes place April through May and July through September. They also band song birds here. The Southeastern Arizona Bird Observatory (SABO) offers workshops on birds, butterflies and wildflowers. They also schedule walks and other activities. Whether you are a birder or not, this is a great place to stop.

Arizona has such a variety of landscapes and terrains. From the Grand Canyon, ponderosa pine forests to the rugged Chiricahua mountains and the lush Sonoran desert with stately saguaro cacti - Arizona has it all.
