Drive Your Motorhome Like a Pro

by Lorrin Walsh

Drive your motorhome like a proLorrin wrote Drive your Motorhome Like a Pro because: "As more and more baby-boomers reach retirement and venture into the world of RVing I felt that a book on the subject could be very beneficial to motorhome owners.  I took my 30+ years of experience and my experience as a commercial driving instructor for Gray Line of Seattle, which was based on the company’s 90+ year history, and combined them into a book that is as helpful to the experienced driver as it is to the new drivers."

Drive your Motorhome Like a Pro details the basic mechanics of maneuvering, what to do before you start, driving situations, braking and the mind set needed to be a safe driver. His philosophy is to provide the rules and the basic mechanics so you can apply them to any vehicle you drive. He has also included what most people would call “Tricks of the Trade.” Lorrin's goal is to provide information that will help anyone to be a more confident and safer driver. $12.95. 64 pages.

Lorrin Walsh first got involved with RVs in the early sixties when his parents bought a 13-foot camp trailer. Later he bought a trailer of his own, and then traded it for a motorhome in 1975. He and his wife have just purchased their sixth motorhome. A few years ago, after retirement from his job as a quality assurance inspector, Lorrin wet to work for Gray Line of Seattle as a driver/guide, just for fun. As he went through their training he realized how much he knew, how much he thought he knew, but did not understand, and how much he did not know. After becoming an instructor he also realized that there were millions of baby boomers out there with the same experience.  That is when he decided to take the techniques of commercial driving and translate them into layman’s terms. He currently works for them and their parent company, Holland America Line, where he does six to seven-month promotional trips during the winter on the East Coast driving a 45-foot motor coach.

Drive your Motorhome Like a Pro is available at RVHometown.com for $12.95.
