RV Authors' Co-op
Books by Elaine Seavey
The Maverick Series
Canadian Summers
Canadian Summers is the first of a five-book series entitled “The
Maverick Series.” Each book covers a different geographic area,
telling of the “adventures and misadventures” my husband and I
experienced during 25 years of RV travels across US, Canada and Mexico.
Canadian Summers is about the summers spent in British Columbia,
exploring small towns, back roads and remote fishing lakes. There are
also stories of interesting stops in other provinces, including a trip
across Eastern Canada and through Nova Scotia.
Meandering in the West
Meandering in the West is the second of the series. In
the western states we enjoyed the rugged pristine beaches and the
stately lighthouses of the Pacific Coast, the glorious mountain ranges,
and the beautiful Columbia River Gorge. Also included, are stories of
three trips to Mexico: Mazatlan, Keno Bay, and Puerto Penasco. Even more
enjoyable than the obvious “sights and sites” were the surprising
discoveries we encountered while exploring side roads and remote areas.
The book shares these stories too!
Southwest Adventures
Southwest Adventures, the third in the series,
concentrates on our RV travels in the Southwest, mainly in Arizona.
Although we have visited many well known places, our drives, bike rides,
and hikes often seek out the lesser known “sights and sites.” Our
explorations have led us to ancient Indian camps and petroglyph sites,
hidden springs, ghost towns, abandoned mine sites and cemeteries. We
have also hiked many scenic trails in the mountains and canyons. Some of
the remote sites are known to some; however, we have come across many
unusual things that simply remain a mystery.
New! Books 4 and 5
Exploring the Southeast tells
about 5 winters spent on an island off the southwestern tip of Florida.
Here we explored waterways in the Everglades, and 10,000 Island
area as well as pristine white sand beaches on the edge of the Gulf of
Mexico. Here we explored waterways deep in the Ten Thousand
Island area, and remote, white sand beaches in the Gulf of Mexico. Each
outing brought surprises and new discoveries. Also included are stories of
interesting stops all across Texas, as well as in many other Southeastern
states.
The Strait Years tells about the many
summers we spent living in Port Angeles, Washington, on the Olympic
Peninsula, where our home overlooked the Strait of Juan de Fuca.
Included are stories about many of the beautiful places to see on the
Peninsula itself, and there are also stories about time spent cruising
with our 30 foot cabin cruiser among the islands in both US and
Canadian waters. We enjoyed all the water related activities,
visiting sea side villages, historical places and anchoring in
quiet little coves.
