Jaimie Hall
Jaimie
worked and traveled full-time with her husband Bill in their RV from 1992
to 2001.
When Jaimie and Bill hit the road in 1992, they knew they would have to
work on the road, but the information about working on the road was
extremely limited. Jaimie was looking for a ‘how-to’ manual which gave
the reader the necessary tools and resources to find jobs that paid well.
Recognizing there were many others who could use such a book Jaimie wrote Support
Your RV Lifestyle! An Insider's Guide to Working on the Road.
Her other books with co-author Alice Zyetz include RV Traveling
Tales: Women's Journeys on the Open Road and two eBooks: The
Woman's Guide to Solo RVing and Taking the Mystery out of RV
Writing.
Jaimie also writes regularly for Workamper News. She and
Alice co-edit the RV Lifestyle Newsletter,
an e-zine on the RV lifestyle that goes out twice a month. She also writes
a column for RoadTripAmerica.com and for other RV publications.
Bill passed away in 2004. Jaimie now travels part time in a Lance
camper. She is pictured here at the Ajax Cafe wearing one of the many
crazy hats patrons can wear.
Alice Zyetz
Alicelived
on the road full-time for ten years. She traveled with her husband
throughout the United States, Mexico, Canada, and a special trip to the
British Isles in a camper van they rented from a member of the
International Caravanning Association. During their trips, they’ve
always managed to connect with local people through their various
interests, including playing music (guitar and banjo), playing bridge,
square dancing, etc. As a monthly columnist for RV Lifestyle, Alice
continues to ferret out other traveler’s special interests.
While
traveling, Alice authored You Shoulda Listened to Your Mother: 36
Timeless Success Tips for Working Women, which grew out of her
consulting career as president of In Plain English Associates, in which
she trained business and technical people to communicate clearly and
concisely. In 2003 Alice and husband Chuck settled in Jojoba Hills
Escapees Park in Southern California and now travel part-time.Alice, former teacher, loves working with others encouraging
them to write their own stories. She leads writing workshops in various
parks as she travels. She and her husband also lead singalongs and
participate in jam sessions wherever they are.
Along with co-author Jaimie Hall, her
books include RV Traveling Tales: Women’s Journeys on the Open
Road, The Woman’s Guide to Solo RVing, Taking the Mystery Out of RV
Writing. Alice also authored Taking the Mystery Out of
Retiring to an RV in e-book and CD format. She alternates writing
a monthly column with Jaimie Hall for RoadTripAmerica
and is co-editor of RV Lifestyles ezine.
